Till vs Romero: BKFC 94 odds swing as Yoel Romero fights at 49
Till vs Romero odds have moved from -189 to -295 on Darren Till ahead of BKFC 94 in Manchester, where Yoel Romero fights at 49. The record behind both men.
Yoel Romero turns 50 next April. On Saturday he walks into the AO Arena in Manchester to headline BKFC 94 against Darren Till, a man fifteen years younger who was born just down the road in Liverpool, over five rounds at cruiserweight with no gloves on.
The betting market has been moving one way for almost a month. When we first tracked the fight on August 27, with two books posting, Till was -189 and Romero +145. By September 12 Till was -240. By September 15 he was -282. On September 21 the consensus reached -295 on Till and +231 on Romero, which prices the 33-year-old at roughly three wins in four.

Nobody can accuse Yoel Romero of sitting still. Since September 2025 he has competed five times under three different rule sets. He stopped Theo Doukas in the second round of his BKFC debut in Hollywood last September. He went back to freestyle wrestling for RAF, beating Patrick Downey in December and losing to Stephen Buchanan in January. He lost a unanimous decision to Vagab Vagabov in a bare-knuckle boxing fight in March. Then in May he stopped Alex Nicholson in the first round of a bare-knuckle MMA bout.
That makes him 1-1 in straight bare-knuckle boxing, and the loss is the most recent of the two. It is also the rule set he fights under on Saturday. His MMA record stands at 16-7, built in the UFC, Bellator and the PFL, on top of two Olympic wrestling tournaments for Cuba in 2000 and 2004. The wrestling does not travel to BKFC. The punching power, historically, always has.

Till left MMA after a submission loss to Dricus Du Plessis at UFC 282 in December 2022, which closed out a run of four losses in five UFC fights and left his record at 18-5-1. What came next was boxing: a sixth-round stoppage of Anthony Taylor in January 2025, a unanimous decision over Darren Stewart in May 2025 and a third-round stoppage of Luke Rockhold that August.
He made his BKFC debut in Birmingham on May 30 of this year and stopped Aaron Chalmers twenty-two seconds into the second round. That is his whole bare-knuckle record, 1-0. On paper the two men are closer than the price. Both are southpaws, both stand six feet, and Till's reach is one inch longer, 74 inches to 73.
What the price is really saying is that it trusts the younger man's last four fights, all wins under boxing and bare-knuckle rules, more than it trusts a 49-year-old whose last straight bare-knuckle fight went the distance the wrong way. That is a reasonable read. Romero has spent his whole career making reasonable reads look foolish, though usually with gloves on.
