Seven of the eight bouts that went ahead at BKFC Fight Night Clearwater on Friday night went the way the betting favorite said they would. The one that didn't was the main event, and it was also the one fight on the card where the punch count and the judges pointed in different directions.

Reber vs Street: the judges and the count disagree

Ryan Reber, No. 2 on BKFC's bantamweight rankings, beat Justin Street by unanimous decision after five two-minute rounds. Street closed as the favorite at -140, with Reber at +111.

BKFC's own punch stats have Street landing 57 of 127 and Reber 48 of 161. Neither man was knocked down. Round by round, Street landed more in the first (8 to 2), the second (15 to 12) and the fifth (16 to 12). Reber won the count in the third, 9 to 8, and the fourth, 13 to 10. That is three rounds to two for Street on the numbers, by margins of six, three and four punches.

What Reber had was output. He threw 34 more punches than Street did, and he went to the body more often: 16 of 22 there, against Street's 9 of 13. If the judges were scoring aggression and volume, there is a case. If they were scoring clean, landed shots, Street connected on 45 percent of what he threw and Reber on 30. On the count alone, Street won the fight. A five-round bout decided by a handful of punches a round is exactly the kind of decision a published scorecard would settle, and we don't have one for this bout yet.

None of that is Reber's fault, and the win counts. He is now 9-2 in BKFC, and both losses came in title fights, both by knockout: Alberto Blas in the first round at BKFC 66 in September 2024, and Justin Ibarrola in the third at BKFC 85 last December. He is 3-0 in this building, after a majority decision over Matt Guymon in May 2025 and a unanimous decision over Josh Oxendine in April.

The division above him is crowded with men he has already met. Ibarrola sits No. 1, and champion Jamel Herring kept the belt with a split decision over John Dodson at BKFC 95 in Newark the weekend before. A rematch with Ibarrola is the fight that means something next. Street drops to 4-3 in BKFC, and a three-fight run (Matt Russo, AJ Craig, Ronny Hauser) ends on a night he out-landed the man ranked second in the division.

The rest of the card

Douglas (Harry) Coltrane knocked out Tony Murphy at 0:53 of the second round. Murphy came in 3-0 in BKFC with three stoppages and was ahead on landed punches, 28 to 23, when it ended; Coltrane scored the only knockdown. He replaced Brandon Conley as Murphy's opponent on October 6, closed as a -171 favorite, and has now knocked out his last two opponents, after taking out Maki Pitolo in the first round in Honolulu in April. He is 5-2 in BKFC.

Rickie Mcconnico stopped Mike Heckert at 0:47 of the third round, and it was the wildest fight of the night. Both men were down in the first round. Then Mcconnico landed 34 of 51 in the second while Heckert landed 11, and he dropped Heckert again in the third before it was waved off. Mcconnico, a -217 favorite, lost a five-round decision to Frankie Solomon on BKFC's April card in this same venue.

Michael Larrimore knocked out Nate Morrow at 1:31 of the second round, with two knockdowns. It was his first fight since a unanimous decision loss to Herring for the title at BKFC 89 in May. He is 4-2 in BKFC, and all four wins are stoppages.

Chachi Versace beat Angelo Trujillo by majority decision in a fight that was close to a dead heat on paper: Versace landed 151 of 252, Trujillo 152 of 250. Trujillo took the first round 45 to 16, Versace took the second and the fourth, the third finished level at 36 apiece, and Trujillo edged the fifth by one. The tiebreaker was the second-round knockdown, the only one in the fight, and it was Versace's. It is his first BKFC win, after a decision loss to Anthony Yost, a split draw with Jared Lennon and a third-round knockout loss to Gabriel Hernandez.

Donny Korbel stopped Jadon Torres at the end of the second round after three knockdowns, even though the landed count finished 40 to 39. The bout was only added to the card on October 22.

Sam DeLao beat Chris Keirn by unanimous decision over three rounds at light heavyweight, landing 88 of 115. He was the biggest favorite on the card at -687.

Tyler Baker knocked out Yari Kaganovsky at 0:43 of the first round. Baker landed 23 of 29. Kaganovsky landed 3.

Two bouts from the final lineup did not take place: Brooks Warman vs Frankie Solomon and Jason Dinunzio vs Gabriel Freyre. Solomon's slot had already been through three opponents in three weeks, which the card piece we ran before the show tracked change by change.

So the favorites went six for seven where we have a closing line, and the one miss was the fight at the top. Reber will be in the conversation for the next bantamweight title shot. Whether he belongs at the front of it depends on which number you trust from Friday night, the judges' or the count.
