Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 20, 2026

UFCalendar is an MMA event calendar. Most of the site works without an account. This page explains what data the site touches, what we store if you do sign in, and how advertising works here.

What we collect

We use Google Analytics 4 and our own self-hosted analytics to understand aggregate traffic: pages visited, country-level location, device type. Our hosting provider (Amazon CloudFront) keeps standard access logs containing IP addresses and requested URLs for up to 30 days, for security and performance monitoring. If you create an account we store the email address you sign in with, the display name you choose, and the fighters, events and picks you save.

Preferences stored in your browser

Your theme choice, time zone, language and filters are saved in your browser’s localStorage so the site remembers them between visits. This data never leaves your device and we cannot read it from our servers. Clearing your browser data removes it completely.

Cookies

Google Analytics sets cookies to distinguish visitors and sessions. Signing in sets a session cookie that keeps you signed in. Our advertising partner sets cookies as described in the next section. We set no cross-site tracking cookies of our own.

Advertising

Some pages on this site show ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to deliver, limit and measure those ads, and may personalise them based on your previous visits to this and other websites. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent before any personalised advertising cookie is set, and you can change or withdraw that choice at any time. Wherever you are, you can turn off personalised advertising in Google’s ad settings.

Third-party services

Three third parties process visitor data on our behalf: Google (Analytics and AdSense), Amazon Web Services (hosting and content delivery), and Paddle (payments, and only if you buy a subscription). Each processes data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell visitor data.

Data retention

Server access logs are deleted after 30 days. Google Analytics data is retained on the shortest setting Google offers. Account data is kept until you delete your account. Preferences in localStorage stay on your device until you clear them.

UFCalendar AI conversations

If you use UFCalendar AI, the messages you send and the answers you receive are stored with your account so you can return to a conversation. They are sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, to generate answers; Anthropic does not use them to train its models. We read a small number of conversations to improve the assistant. Delete a conversation from the sidebar to remove it permanently, or delete your account to remove all of them.

Your rights

Under GDPR, CCPA and similar laws you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. If you have an account you can delete it yourself from your account settings, which removes the data we hold for you. You can opt out of Google Analytics with Google’s browser opt-out add-on, and out of personalised advertising in Google’s ad settings. For anything else, email us.

Children

The site is general-audience sports information and does not knowingly collect any data from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted here with an updated date. Material changes will be noted on the home page.
