Mike Malott knocked out Joaquin Buckley 2:32 into the second round at Rogers Place in Edmonton on Saturday, and the finish paid him a $100,000 Performance of the Night check on top of his contract. By our estimate that made his night worth about $276,000, the biggest on the card. The biggest number anyone can actually verify went to the man two fights below him: Marc-Andre Barriault, whose 17 UFC fights put him in the $16,000 compliance bracket, banked at least $116,000 to Malott's $106,000. Across all 13 bouts, the verified minimum payout for UFC Fight Night: Buckley vs Malott comes to $783,000, and our estimate of what the 16 fighters we can price took home runs to about $1.9 million.

Who won the UFC Buckley vs Malott bonuses?

There was no Fight of the Night. The UFC handed out four Performance of the Night awards instead, all to winners who finished their fights:

Under the bonus structure the UFC has run since UFC 324 (January 24, 2026), each award pays $100,000, and any fighter who wins by knockout or submission without collecting one banks a separate $25,000 finish incentive instead. The two do not stack, which is why the four award winners get the award and nothing more.

Eight more winners collected the $25,000: Cristian Pérez (a 27-second knockout of Kyle Nelson), Timmy Cuamba (second-round submission of Louis Jourdain), Tanner Boser (third-round knockout of Jhonata Diniz), Nick Galanti (first-round submission of Julien Leblanc), Katlyn Cerminara (first-round stoppage of Mackenzie Stiller), Steven Koslow (third-round submission of Chad Anheliger), Chelsea Chandler (first-round submission of Melissa Croden) and SuYoung You (third-round submission of Cody Chovancek). That is $200,000 in incentives on top of $400,000 in awards. Twelve of the 13 bouts ended inside the distance, and every one of the 12 paid a finisher.

The only fight to reach the judges was the co-main. Jasmine Jasudavicius beat Erin Blanchfield by unanimous decision as the sportsbook consensus underdog at +270, and a decision win carries no incentive, however big the upset.

UFC Buckley vs Malott payouts: what every fighter made

The tables combine three things: the promotional guidelines compliance pay tier for each fighter's UFC tenure (as reported by MMA Junkie), the bonus or finish-incentive money on top of it, and our own estimate of what each fighter's night was worth, built from 18 years of disclosed UFC purses. The first two add up to a verified floor. The last column is estimated show money, plus an equal win bonus for winners, plus the bonus dollars already listed, typically within about ±30% by our own error checks. It is the same figure our live payout table prints for this card. UFC bouts count Saturday's fight and leave out Contender Series appearances, which do not move a fighter up the compliance ladder.

"Our estimate (night)" is the fighter's estimated show money plus, for winners, an estimated win bonus of the same size, plus the bonus dollars already shown in the bonus column. The only verified money it leaves out is compliance pay, the other half of the "Verified minimum" column. "Not yet priced" means we have no current estimate on file: seven fighters on this card were making their UFC debuts, and three more have no estimate yet. Our live payout table leaves the same ten out.

Add up the bolded verified minimums and the card's floor is $783,000 across 26 fighters: $183,000 in compliance pay, $400,000 in awards and $200,000 in finish incentives. Add up the estimate column instead and the 16 fighters we can price were worth about $1.9 million; folding their compliance pay back in, plus the verified floor of the ten we cannot price, puts the known plus estimated payroll near $2.28 million, and that is low by however much the ten unpriced contracts really pay.

How much did Mike Malott make in total?

Roughly $282,000, by our estimate: about $88,000 in show money, the same again for the win, the $100,000 Performance of the Night check and $6,000 in compliance pay. Only $106,000 of that is verified. The $276,000 night total is the number his salary page and our payout table both print for him, and it is the biggest on the card, $4,000 ahead of Barriault. Treat it as a lower bound, since disclosed purses never showed the side terms a headliner can negotiate, and our estimates tend to undercount them.

The more striking line is the one under his. Buckley lost and still leaves with about $186,000 by our estimate, because his estimated show money, about $186,000, is more than double Malott's $88,000. He walked in with 18 UFC fights against Malott's nine, and his tenure tier pays $16,000 to Malott's $6,000. The consensus line had Buckley at +106 and Malott at -127, which is to say the market expected the cheaper fighter to win, and he did. What the win bought Malott is exactly the money that only exists for winners: the estimated $88,000 win bonus and the $100,000 award. Without either, the man who won the main event would have made less than half of what the man he knocked out took home.

Saturday was Malott's ninth UFC fight. His next one is his tenth, still inside the $6,000 bracket, and only the one after that moves him up the compliance ladder to $11,000.

Marc-Andre Barriault and four straight bonus nights

Barriault was the underdog against Daukaus, +166 on the sportsbook consensus against -198, and he finished him 32 seconds before the end of the first round. That made him the night's biggest verified earner: $16,000 in tenure pay plus the $100,000 award, $116,000 in all, and about $272,000 by our estimate, second only to Malott.

It is also the fourth fight in a row in which he has collected a bonus, win or lose. He knocked out Bruno Silva in the first round at UFC 315 in May 2025 for a Performance award, then lost decisions to Shara Magomedov in July 2025 and Michal Oleksiejczuk in February 2026 that both won Fight of the Night, and now Daukaus. Two wins and two losses, four checks. At each night's rate that run is worth $300,000: $50,000 each for the two 2025 awards and $100,000 each for the two since UFC 324. Add the Fight of the Night he shared at UFC 289 in June 2023, another $50,000 at the old rate, and his career bonus money comes to $350,000.

Joel Faglier and the $100,000 debut

Faglier was not on the original card. Our card log shows him replacing Louie Sutherland as Mahjoub's opponent on October 7, ten days before the event. Both men were making their UFC debuts, both sit on the $4,000 bottom rung of the compliance ladder, and Faglier closed a narrow -132 favorite. He knocked Mahjoub out in the second round and left with a verified $104,000, 26 times his tenure pay. Mahjoub left with $4,000.

He is the cleanest case on the card of what the 2026 structure does at the bottom of the roster, but not the only one. Nallo, in his second UFC fight and also on the $4,000 tier, turned a 47-second second-round knockout of Landwehr into $104,000 verified. By our estimate his contract pays about $29,000 to show and the same to win, so the award alone was worth more than his show and win money combined, and it lifted his night to about $158,000. Landwehr, with 12 UFC fights and an $11,000 tier, leaves with about $91,000 by our estimate.

Two other late changes on the prelims paid off for the replacement. Nick Galanti took Gilbert Urbina's place against Leblanc on the same October 7 and submitted him in 1:26 for $29,000 verified in his debut. Stiller, who took Jamey-Lyn Horth's place against Cerminara two days later, did not get the same ending: $4,000 for a first-round loss.

Why don't we know the exact purses?

No purses from Saturday's card have been made public, and the UFC does not publish them. What we can verify is compliance pay (a published minimum tied to tenure) and official bonuses; what we can estimate is show money and the win bonus that usually matches it, built from years of disclosed purses in states that still published them. For the long history of what used to be public and why it stopped, see what a decade of disclosed UFC pay showed, and browse every fighter's estimate at /salaries.

The receipts

Malott's knockout is his fourth Performance of the Night in the UFC and his second in a row, after the third-round stoppage of Gilbert Burns in Winnipeg in April. The first two, in February and June 2023, paid $50,000 each at the old rate; the last two paid $100,000 each. That is $300,000 in bonus money, two-thirds of it from his last two fights.

Buckley has six post-fight bonuses of his own: five Performance awards between October 2020 and October 2024 and a Fight of the Night in his five-round loss to Kamaru Usman in June 2025, all at the old $50,000 rate, $300,000 in all. Saturday the bonus was there again, $100,000 at the new rate. It just went to the man across from him.
