Home Turf
Five fighters a day. Drop a pin on the world map where each one is from, closer means more points.
The five fighters are always names who have been in the official UFC top 10 or held the belt, about 330 stars with a known birthplace.

How to play
- Each day you get five ranked fighters from the promotions we track. Study the name, the face and the promotion.
- Pan and zoom the world map, then tap to drop your pin where you think the fighter is from.
- Lock it in to see the answer. Scoring is pure distance, GeoGuessr style: the closer your pin is to the fighter's actual birthplace, the more of the 5,000 points you keep. Within 25 km is a perfect round.
- After five rounds, share your total out of 25,000.
Good to know
- Three difficulties: Easy draws only from fighters who have been in the official UFC top 10 (or held the title), Medium from everyone who has ever fought in the UFC, and Hard from every fighter across all promotions we track. Every fighter shown has a photo and a known, geocoded birthplace, fighters whose birthplace we can't place never appear.
- Scoring is pure closeness: points fall off exponentially with the distance from your pin to the fighter's birthplace (the same curve GeoGuessr uses on the world map). Borders don't matter, kilometers do. A pin within 25 km of the birthplace scores the full 5,000.
- For dual-nationality fighters either country counts as a direct hit, and a miss is measured to the nearer one.
- A new set of five fighters drops every day at midnight UTC, the same fighters for everyone.
- After each reveal you can open the fighter's full profile, record and career timeline.
Frequently asked questions
- What is Home Turf?
- A daily geography game for MMA fans: five real fighters, one world map. Guess where each fighter is from by dropping a pin, GeoGuessr style, and score up to 25,000 points a day.
- How is the score calculated?
- Each round is worth up to 5,000 points, scored purely by distance: 5,000 within 25 km of the fighter's birthplace, then an exponential fall-off with the same constant GeoGuessr uses on its world map (about an e-fold every 1,500 km). Hitting the right country means nothing by itself, closeness is everything.
- Which fighters can appear?
- It depends on the difficulty, and every fighter shown has a known, mappable birthplace in our database. Easy sticks to fighters who have been ranked in the official UFC top 10 or held the belt (about 330 names). Medium opens up to every UFC fighter (about 1,300). Hard covers fighters across UFC, PFL, ONE Championship, RIZIN, KSW, ACA and OKTAGON (about 4,300).
- What about fighters with two nationalities?
- Both countries are accepted: hitting either one counts as a perfect round, and a miss is measured against the closer of the two.
- When does the game reset?
- At midnight UTC every day. Everyone in the world plays the same five fighters.
