ONE SAMURAI 4 comes to Ariake Arena in Tokyo on Saturday, October 17, with 12 bouts across four rulesets and two world titles on the line. Seven of the fights are kickboxing, three are MMA, one is Muay Thai and one is a submission grappling match, and 14 of the 24 fighters on the card are Japanese.
Jonathan Haggerty, 10-3 in ONE, defends his bantamweight kickboxing title against Hiroki Akimoto, 9-4 in ONE, in the main event. Both men won on ONE SAMURAI 1 in April: Haggerty took a unanimous decision over Yuki Yoza in a title fight, and Akimoto edged Taimu Hisai on a split decision, his second straight win after beating Wei Rui at ONE 173. In the co-main, Nadaka, 33-0 as a professional Muay Thai fighter and unbeaten in ONE, puts his atomweight Muay Thai title on the line against Malaysia's Rifdean Masdor, 7-1 in ONE and the winner of his last five on ONE Friday Fights.
