RIZIN takes its Landmark series to Nagasaki on Saturday, October 3, for fourteen fights at Nagasaki Stadium City Happiness Arena. There is no title on the line: nine bouts make up the main card, five run on the prelims, and the headliner is a lightweight fight between two men who were both submitted in their second-to-last fight and both answered it with a win.
Yoshinori Horie (15-6-0) meets Sho Patrick Usami (9-5-0) in the main event. Horie comes in off a split decision over Patricky Freire at RIZIN Landmark 13 in Fukuoka in April, a win that followed a rear-naked choke loss to Roberto Satoshi de Souza in 1:40 at RIZIN 51. Usami knocked out Tatsuya Saika with a single punch at 1:38 of the first round at RIZIN 53 in May, six months after Taisei Sakuraba caught him in a third-round kneebar in Kobe. Same division, same recent arc, and only one of them leaves Nagasaki with two straight.
In the co-main, Viktor Kolesnik (26-6-1) is back at featherweight against Koyomi Matsushima (15-8-0), and both men need this one. Kolesnik has lost two in a row: Rajabali Shaidullaev stopped him in 33 seconds at RIZIN 51, and Koji Takeda beat him by unanimous decision at lightweight at RIZIN 52 in March. Matsushima's last fight ended in a third-round inverted guillotine against Ryan Cafaro at RIZIN 53, and Cafaro is on this card too.

Cafaro (15-6-0) fights on the same night as the man he submitted in May, this time against Yasui (5-1-0), so the featherweight picture gets two data points from one show. Further down, Narita was born in May 2008, which makes him 18 years old and already 4-2 as a pro, and the heavyweight pairing of Papalii and Ndiaye puts two unbeaten 2-0 records against each other.
