UFCalendar Fight API — Terms of Service & Acceptable Use Policy

1. The service

The UFCalendar Fight API ("the API", api.ufcalendar.com) provides mixed martial arts data — event schedules, fight cards, results, statistics, fighter profiles and career timelines, rankings history, UFCalendar Power Index ratings, model win probabilities, and broadcast-rights data — over HTTPS under the plans published at ufcalendar.com/developers. UFCalendar is an independent publication. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or licensed by UFC/Zuffa/TKO, PFL, OKTAGON MMA, or any other promotion; organization names are used nominatively to describe the data. The API serves no betting odds.

2. Accounts and keys

API keys are issued to a UFCalendar account and are your responsibility. Keys are shown once at creation and stored only as hashes; treat them as secrets. You may not share, sell, or transfer keys. We may revoke keys that we reasonably believe are compromised or abusive.

3. Plans, billing, refunds

Paid plans are billed by our merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd ("Paddle"), which handles payment, applicable taxes, invoices, and refunds. Quotas are hard caps per calendar month (UTC); unused requests do not roll over. Plan changes apply per Paddle's proration rules; cancellations take effect at the end of the paid period. We offer a 14-day money-back guarantee on a plan's first purchase — email api@ufcalendar.com. Non-payment downgrades a key to the Free tier rather than disabling it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree NOT to:

• resell, sublicense, or redistribute the raw dataset or substantial portions of it (Enterprise agreements excepted — bulk redistribution requires a written contract);
• use the API as an official-data feed for regulated sports-betting operations (in-play trading, odds compilation for licensed sportsbooks) — that market requires league-licensed data we do not provide;
• circumvent rate limits, quotas, or key checks, or rotate keys/accounts to do so;
• remove attribution from Creative-Commons-licensed fighter images — the license metadata the API returns (artist, license) must be displayed wherever the image is shown;
• use the data to violate any law or third-party right.

Free-tier use is non-commercial and requires a visible "Data by UFCalendar" link (ufcalendar.com) in any public product. Paid tiers may use the data in commercial products (display and analysis), including internal redistribution on Business.

5. Data, accuracy, availability

Sports data is compiled from public sources and our own systems; it is provided "as is", without warranty of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for any purpose. Fight results, statistics, and rankings can change on official review. Model probabilities and Power Index ratings are our own editorial/statistical outputs, not advice of any kind. Service-level commitments exist only where a plan explicitly states them; we may modify or discontinue endpoints with 12 months' notice for breaking changes on /v1 (additive changes may ship any time).

6. Termination

You may stop using the API and cancel at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms, effective immediately for AUP violations, with a pro-rata refund of any unused paid period unless the breach was willful.

7. Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the API is limited to the amounts you paid for the API in the three months preceding the claim, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data.

8. Changes and law

We may update these terms; material changes are announced via the changelog and/or email at least 14 days ahead. Continued use after the effective date is acceptance. These terms are governed by the laws of Georgia; mandatory consumer rights in your country remain unaffected. Paddle's checkout terms apply to the payment relationship.
